Film, side by side.
Each photograph is rendered twice by LightTable. Once as it is, and once through a physically modelled film stock and print. Nothing else is changed. Drag across a photo to compare, then look closer at the grain.

How these were made
Each render used LightTable’s film engine, built on spektrafilm, at 2400 pixels on the long edge. The film side models the negative’s dye couplers, halation, grain, and the print it was enlarged onto. Film off is the original photograph at the same size. Photographs are from Pexels and used under the Pexels License.
